Dr. Anthony Viselli, P.E., is the Chief Engineer for Ocean Energy Programs at the University of Maine’s Advanced Structures and Composites Center. Dr. Viselli has nearly 20 years of experience in the research design, testing, and construction of marine and offshore structures.
Dr. Viselli currently leads the design and engineering efforts for New England Aqua Ventus I, a single turbine 11 MW floating offshore wind demonstration project to be deployed in the Gulf of Maine. The project will utilize the VolturnUS floating concrete semi-submersible hull, designed and patented at UMaine. Dr. Viselli leads a team of over 20 engineers, technicians, and staff dedicated to floating offshore wind R&D.
