Daniel Zalkind is a senior researcher at NREL, where he studies wind turbine control systems and leads the development of the Reference Open-Source Controller (ROSCO) and the Wind Energy and Integrated Servo-controls (WEIS) toolset. Daniel’s research interests include the interaction between floating wind turbine design and controls, from the component level to the farm level.
