Antoine Peiffer

Antoine is a passionate advocate for ocean renewable energy and offshore floating wind turbines. He has more than a decade of experience in the global offshore floating wind sector at Principle Power and has held a few leadership roles in Engineering and Business Development. His technical expertise includes the design and supply of floating foundations for the offshore wind industry. 

Back in 2009, Antoine was involved in the entire lifecycle of the WindFloat demonstration project (WF1), from design, through fabrication, installation, commissioning, and to operation. Over the years, he contributed to the development of the WindFloat technology and led the Aero-Hydro Engineering Group in charge of loads and motions computations for Front-end Engineering Designs (FEED) and Detailed Designs of most pre-commercial projects, including WindFloat Atlantic (25MW floating wind farm off Portugal operational since August 2020). In his most recent role in Business Development, Antoine aimed at creating a pipeline of commercial projects around the world, by bringing technical expertise in early developments and assessing the supply chain readiness of future markets. Antoine is now leading the Engineering team of Principle Power that is gearing up for the industrialization phase and global expansion of floating wind.

Antoine is a graduate from the University of California at Berkeley under the Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture program. He was the chair of the Northern California section of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) in 2017-2018.
